Variation of Contract

   Typically, each party that signed the original agreement that is being modified must sign the Variation.  Because each party will typically want an original, signed copy of the Variation, an original should be executed (i.e. signed) for each.

   Check the original contract to ensure that the amendment/modification/variation procedures in that agreement are met.  For examples, sometimes the original contract will require that all parties sign any modification, while others require that only the parties that are negatively affected by the change sign the modification. 

   If more than two parties must sign the Variation, alter the form to accommodate the other parties (e.g. heading paragraph and signature blocks).

   Two sets of signature blocks have been included.  Use the set applicable to your situation and erase the other. 

   Please note that for Limited Companies two Directors or a Director and the company Secretary must sign.  For LLPs two Members must sign.
