General Information
Landlords Consent to Commercial Sublease

When a tenant chooses to sublease a commercial lease to another (known as a subtenant), the original lease often requires that the landlord must consent in order for the sublease to be valid.

A Landlords Consent to Commercial Sublease simply states that the landlord will allow the sublet; however, depending on the provisions of your original lease, the original tenant may still be responsible for the performance of the lease if the subtenant fails in his duties (e.g. to pay the rent).
